All that remains of Alec Heffron’s general store in Moygownagh are the few faded black and white photos still with our family (thanks to our very missed ‘aunt’, Maud Gallagher, who took them!). Since ably replaced by Mitchell’s modern supermarket, public house and hardware store, my grandfather’s establishment was at the heart of the local community - like so many other old country stores. Not sure how he would have regarded our tiny online shop… but I am sure he would have agreed that your support is greatly appreciated.
